At the business end of the gun, The firing pin is the part that strikes and drives the brad nail into the timber. If your nails are not driving in effectively, It may be that the blade is worn and slipping on the nails. The blade can also chip if the brad hits something solid and unseen behind the timber. Keep your nail gun in top shape and replace the firing pin assembly at any first signs of malfunction.
