Makita firing pi/driver blade is what pushes the nail out of the nail gun into the material you are fixing / fastening into. These wear down naturally as they are being constantly struck against a nail and a hard place. If your gun is starting to misfire, or you notice this blade is bent or snapped, then you will need to replace this.
