Carbon Brushes are usually the first port of call for power tool maintenance and repair.

DeWalt 1007801-00 replacement spare Carbon Brush Plate and Holder to suit DeWalt DC720, DC721, DC722, DC725, DC727, DC730, DC731, DC732, DC735, DC737, DC742, DC743 and DC745 cordless drills. The Carbon Brush Plate will also fit 057549, 057551, 057548, 057552, 057550, 057553, 102504, 102536, 102482, 102537 and 102538 Berner cordless drills.
With carbon brushes being a wearable part, they are usually the most common component to be replaced. If the carbon brushes are worn they can cause loss of power, braking issues, and an increased likelihood of the armature burning out. Changing brushes is usually a relatively simple process and it is a good idea to check the condition of your armature during the repair.
