This is a genuine Black & Decker spare part.
This pin is located inside the arm and the wind up handle on the front of your workmate. This will hold the arm onto your workmate so that it doesn't fall off. These can wear down over time as you use your handles more and more, but also when you need to replace your handles it is often easier to just replace these than to extract your old ones.
